G7 Teams August, 2008 Update

( September 10, 2008 )
G7 Teams is an affiliation of top professional e-sports teams and community leaders working together to better and develop professional e-sports. To achieve the goals that G7 Teams sets out to the community, we need our Members to be active and contributing members, community leaders in their respective e-sports markets, and to have players and teams that compete at the highest level on the international circuit. Effective immediately, founding G7 Teams member 4Kings from the United Kingdom and one year member PGS from Poland have been removed from G7 Teams.

An ongoing focus of G7 Teams is the Affiliate Program, which was first released on the G7 Teams website for amateur and professional teams, but this will be expanded and better tended to in the coming months to make this a more interactive and engaging relationship.

This is what PGS said about the parting:

"By this day PGS Gaming and G7 are going separate ways. For one year we earned a lot of experience which is really helpful in running activities. However, our targets, reach and also some problems differs a lot from what is G7 doing and planning.

Currently our team, D-Link PGS, gather propably most talented gamers in Poland, what is proven by results. Hovewer, outside Poland, FIFA and DOTA divisons are recognized but it is not enough to be G7 core member.

D-Link PGS wishes all the best to G7 and every other organisation working on esport development. Our team current aim is to unify polish scene and teams for being able to react together to solve problems like extraordinary costs for attending WCG 2008 in Koeln (for polish players).

Best Regards,
Martin Sieczkowski"
